These videos are attributable to various sources and from news outlets for the most part. Most of the footage comes from the usual channels such as You Tube. The reason for bringing any of it here at all is to bring a certain flavor to the footage, that is, to edit and bring what we feel is the best footage.

That said, much of this is going then to seem familiar to you - or perhaps some of it not. Some of it, like Dylan opening his fan mail, may just seem silly. To us, it seemed telling because it showed Dylan interacting with the girl who we believe was the same young dark-haired school-girl fan that was in his hotel-room earlier in Don't Look Back, so this is an out-take from that footage. That Dylan kept her around and spent time with her is interesting and something that I anyway, didn't know until I saw this footage.

What we glean from this may be absolutely nothing and lord knows nobody at all is imputing here that anything is awry, only that we see a side of Dylan that was before edited out - maybe by him, maybe by others - but clearly, that he did not want us to see, or likely didn't want us to see. As any biographer (and that is my natural instinct), our job is give a balanced portrait. I admit, that's hard with Dylan because I find it hard to keep myself at any remove - that said, we try. As a writer, I don't think any of us are "truly" objective, but we try... Videos can be altered, yes, but for the most part, these tell the true tale. If you have any you would like to contribute or do not have, please let us know. Thanks for visiting and if you want to link, let us know - we'll link back.

Be well,

Piano Mood - Outtake - DLB

one of the best outtakes, I think.... You can hear Dylan press the foot-pedals here if you listen closely. Really shows his tremendous gift on the piano/keyboard. One of my favorites of Dylan.
