number 1 audio blog

As part of an ongoing effort to revamp not only my own poetry, but the cause of poetry in general, i bring you Number 1 Audio Blog, which is another part of the tant mieux world project and that has poetry being read aloud.

You'll find all kinds of poems; from limerick type work and rhyming to haiku, sestina, and more. Whenever possible, i've also incluced the text of the poems that i've written so that you can read along. You can feel free to burn a copy of these poems for a CD for your personal use or to use in a music mix to break it up a bit, or simply tune in and listen and take a break at work.

Tell your friends about Number 1 Audio Blog. I used to give live readings, but those have dried up and the cause of poetry these days seems less important to some people and that's just sad. Poetry was always meant to be read aloud - a poem can only test its mettle if it is read out loud and still works. If it doesn't work, if we fumble and stumble, then we have failed, as no doubt, i often do. That said, there is a great effort i'm making here to try new forms, new rhyme patterns and themes, whole new areas to discover.

We've been sampled by Zudfunck and we're happy about that, we're getting lots of hits daily and more and more people are linking to tant mieux and want to be part of the tant mieux project. If you would like to participate in any way, use the Contact lnk and ocntact me. If you are a writer and would like to be published in our tant mieux ezine, again, use the Contact link to send your work along with a brief bio.

Whatever you do, please do visit www.number1audioblog.blogspot.com and tune in and hear what's up for the day. If you can't find the text to any given poem, check back here at tant mieux and look it up by Archive Title and you'll no doubt find the poem you are looking for.

Tune in, hang out, stay a while, and hopefully, enjoy what you hear. The meter and cadence of poetry is what carries us through our lives and should, at its best, be a drumbeat that sustains and nourishes. I only hope i sometimes succeed.

Cheers, and thanks for tuning in; feel free to link your site to any of the tant mieux sites
